KCMAKEUP

Hi loves! This is Kim & Cathy, and we both run this beauty blog together. Our blog consists of makeup reviews, makeup looks, advice on makeup and so on. Although both of our schedules are hectic due to college and work, we try our best to update as much as possible. We aren't experts and our advice might not always be 100% correct, but we answer based on our personal knowledge. Feel free to leave any requests or questions in our ask box and we will respond shortly. Thank you and have a beautiful day!

I had a question about eyebrows. My eyebrows are actually very dark black and well shaped but there is a little spot that is lighter then the rest at the top of one side. I would like to make that look like the rest without too much work. I don't want to deal with too many products so, what do you recommend that I do?
kcmakeup kcmakeup Said:

Hey there! Just get an angled brush, pick up some eyeshadow that is similar to your brows and fill in that spot. Make sure to pick up a little bit at a time so you can buff out the color with your brows making it look more natural. It might seem easy to do but it will take some time for beginners. Also try to not use a eyebrow pencil because its much more harsh looking than eye shadow. I hope that my answer helped answer your question.

I have a teal dress with black on it. What color eyeshadow do you recommend pairing with it? or complementing it. Thanks!
kcmakeup kcmakeup Said:

Hi love, I would recommend some silver eyeshadow and even maybe some frosty shimmer whites. You can always apply a tint of teal if you wanted to match your dress, or you can always stick with a more neutral look. I would also recommend false lashes! They make a difference, especially in pictures. Remember to use a primer so your make up lasts all night long. Hope you have a fun and safe prom ♥

what powder do you use for your eyebrows? you girls eyebrows are so niceee !);
kcmakeup kcmakeup Said:

Hi love! Hm, maybe Kim can add on her products later but for myself I use Urban Decay’s Brow Kit. Sometimes I just mix it with a dark brown eyeshadow (DON’T USE BLACK! If you do, do so lightly or mix some browns in it. Don’t make it look Sharpied in, yaknow?) and it works out fine too. Just remember to shape your brows with an eyebrow pencil first, then start filling them in. Hope this helps!

do you know of a pencil eyeliner that is easy to put on/ glides right on the eye? most pencil eyeliners i have tried are really difficult to put on and i end up poking myself in the eye :P
kcmakeup kcmakeup Said:

I use Jordana you can purchase those at Walgreens they come in the twisty ones or regular pencils where you have to sharpen them. I believe it’s 2 for $5 or so they glide on just like that. The only eyeliner I prefer using than any other ones. Btw cover girl also works the same! 😄

Could you please recommend a good yet affordable brush to use for bronzer and blush? I'm looking for something similar to the brush that comes with Loreal True Match Super Blendable Blush compact with a mirror.
kcmakeup kcmakeup Said:

Hey there! ELF has some very affordable brush I use the essential bronzing brush, although it feels like horse hair it blends really easy and perfect for me. Other than that I Sonia kashuk works great also! 😊

One of the best MAC products that I’ve tried so far! I use it after I apply my make up and it gives my face a smooth finish. It also keeps my face from getting oily throughout the day. I love it, love it, love it! And remember a little goes a looong way. I’m currently on my 2nd jar right now and I think the first one lasted me 6-8 months? There’s also the pressed powder of this, but I;ve only tried the loose powder. Also I’ve also tried Urban Decay’s Mattifying powder, but nothing beats MAC’s. I have acne prone skin, but this product never broke me out (it might be different for you though!) Just thought I should drop in and let you guys know (:
